Sara Wash, Framed Drawing by Ed Shewmake

Ed Shewmake (1920-2008) was an artist from Winston-Salem, NC, and professor of art at Salem College 1953-1985. He and his wife Mitzi, also an artist and profess were heavily involved in the local arts scene and cofounded and supported numerous ongoing institutions there. His work is in the collection of the North Carolina Museum of Art.
